Ex-Hamburg boss to Nottingham Forest?

Is Tim Walter a candidate to replace Nuno Espírito Santo at Nottingham Forest?

As reported by Sky Germany, the former Hamburg head coach was spotted in the Nottingham Forest director’s box last weekend, watching the game against Manchester City.

The 48-year-old is open to new coaching challenges, including outside of Germany. During his time at HSV (2021-2024), Walter narrowly missed out on Promotion from the 2. Bundesliga into the top flight.

In total, he managed 103 competitive games, achieving a points average of 1.82.

His previous roles include stints at VfB Stuttgart and Holstein Kiel.

Forest are in the middle of a relegation battle in the Premier League. Currently, Nuno’s side have 26 points and are one point above the first relegation place (Luton Town, 25 points).

It’s unsure whether Forest will look to replace Nuno should they face relegation or even if he manages to keep them up.

The Portuguese manager has previous experience in the Championship, when he won the league with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 2018/19 season.
