The signs were fan-given.

ZEROBASEONE (also known as ZB1) are protesting?!

Recently, an image of all nine ZEROBASEONE members went viral on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok. The photo featured ZEROBASEONE holding signs, reading, “Let the office workers who are unfairly locked up at work go home!” It garnered over 419K views at the time of writing.

While many thought it was a legitimate protest, this was technically intended as a “joke.” The photo was captured at the group’s recent fanmeeting. At fanmeetings, idols are often given gifts or props to pose for pictures with. These signs were one of them.

The ZEROBASONE members were styled in an “officeworker” concept that day. So, it fit the theme.

Additionally, these signs appear to be a current trend. Aespa‘s Karina and Xdinary HeroesGunil were recently captured with similar signs.

Yet, there is a famous saying: “Behind every joke, there is some truth.” ZEROSES (ZEROBASEONE fans) have long been frustrated by the group’s company, WAKEONE.

ZEROSES have long been calling for better treatment for Ricky and Kim Jiwoong. Many feel these two have been treated poorly and unfairly.

They noticed that while the other members appeared to be holding up the signs lightheartedly, both Ricky and Jiwoong were solemnly doing so as if it wasn’t a joke to them.
