Seungri’s Past Connection With Tinder Korea Raises Eyebrows Following His “Burning Sun” Crimes Against Women

Former BIGBANG member Seungri used to be the face of Tinder in South Korea.

His partnership with the dating company is once again going viral. He filmed a video advertisement for them which was released on June 14, 2018, a year before his “Burning Sun” crimes were revealed.

The video framed him as an eligible bachelor who is ready to meet girls on the app.

He later attended a “Tinder x Seungri Secret Party” in Gangnam, Seoul, to celebrate this launch. He was called the “Global CEO Seungri” to entice women to download the app to possibly meet successful men just like him.

His partnership with Tinder is now being viewed with raised eyebrows. It is public knowledge that he was sentenced to three years in prison in 2020 for crimes including solicitation of illegal prostitution, illegal gambling overseas, distribution of non-consensually filmed sexual content, embezzlement, threatening, and assault.

He committed violent acts against women all the while being the face of a dating app targeting them.
