Vashu Bhagnani revealed that he got a call from Akshay Kumar, who’s ready to help him in his reported financial troubles.
Producer Vashu Bhagnani revealed he got a call from his Bade Miyan Chote Miyan star, Akshay Kumar, offering him financial help. In an interview with ANI, Vashu reacted to media reports about selling his Mumbai office and having a debt of Rs 250 crore about the debacle of his last production, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (BMCM). ANI spoke to Vashu in London, and the producer confirmed that the news about selling his office and laying off a huge chunk of employees is completely false.
Vashu also disclosed that after the reports of bankruptcy, he received a call from Akshay Kumar, who offered him help. The Hero No 1 producer said, “Akshay sir ka mujhe phone aaya ki ‘Vashu tu bilkul parwah mat kar, jo bhi hoga hum log mil-bat ke karenge’. Mera Ali Abbas Zafar (BMCM director) se bhi wohi baat chalu hai. Maine kaha ki parwah kar hi nahi raha hoon. Logon ko unnessceary ghabrahat ho rahi hai. Mere ghar ka chullah yeh log nahi chala rahe jo allegations laga rahe hai. See actors ke baare mein log unnecessary badnaam kar rahe hai (I received a call from Akshay sir saying ‘Vashu, don’t worry at all, whatever happens, we will bear it together’. I am having the same conversation with Ali Abbas Zafar (BMCM director) also. People are having unnecessary problems. These people who are making allegations are not running my house. They are unnecessarily defaming the actors).”

Later in the conversation, Vashu revealed that he hasn’t sold the office, but he’s redeveloping and turning it into a 15-floor luxurious building. The Coolie No 1 producer said, “Building aaj bhi meri hai. Meri company ka naam ‘Vashu Bhagnani industries hai’, and ‘Pooja leisure and lifestyle’ hai. Aur uske naam par meri family ki building hai. Main isko todh ke 15 mahale ke beautiful luxurious tower banane wala hu, jiska naam hai Pooja Illumnaire (The building is still mine. The name of my company is ‘Vashu Bhagnani Industries’, and ‘Pooja leisure and lifestyle’. And it belongs to my family. I am going to make a beautiful 15-floor luxurious tower, Pooja Illumnaire).”
The veteran producer further revealed that he got the tower plan sanctioned in January 2023. However, he first decided to break the news after the release of BMCM, which was scheduled for December 2023, but later got pushed as he busy in Jackky-Rakul’s marriage and later the film’s release. Vashu confirmed that he won’t let anyone in the loss, and he also promised strict action against those who tried to spread these allegations.
