Before Woh 7 Din, Anil was seen in a small role in Hamare Tumhare (1979) before starring in the Telugu film Vamsa Vruksham (1980) and Kannada film Pallavi Anupallavi (1983). 

When Boney Kapoor borrowed money from Sanjeev Kumar to launch his brother

Recently, Boney revealed that when he approached Govind Rajan, a partner at Venus Studio, to secure the rights for remaking K Bhagyaraj’s Andha 7 Naatkal, he faced a waiting period before Rajan eventually agreed to sell the rights for Rs 1,25,000. However, Boney was short of funds, and Sanjeev Kumar came to his aid after learning about his situation. Boney revealed that Kumar promptly provided him with Rs 1,50,000. With this amount, Boney acquired the movie’s rights and also obtained a print of the film with the remaining funds.

As per several media reports, top Bollywood actresses rejected Woh 7 Din, as they didn’t want to be paired with a newcomer Anil Kapoor. At that time, Anil pursued Padmini Kolhapure, and that’s how she agreed to do the film.

According to IMDb, In 1982, Boney Kapoor approached Mithun Chakraborty for the film. But he hiked his fees after the success of Disco Dancer, and he rejected the film.
