Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri, created history at the box office after it was released in December 2023. It not only solidified Ranbir Kapoor’s status as a superstar but also elevated Triptii Dimri’s career in Bollywood. The actress, who made her film debut in 2017, got overnight fame after playing a supporting role in Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster film ‘Animal’. 

Triptii Dimri became the ‘National crush’ after ‘Animal’ and achieved such fame which many leading actresses fail to accomplish even after many years of struggle. Born in 1994 in Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Triptii Dimri did an acting course at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune before venturing into films full-time. 

Triptii Dimri made her debut in 2017 with ‘Poster Boys’ along with Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Shreyas Talpade, but failed to make an impact. She then starred in ‘Laila Majnu’ in 2018, Sridevi’s ‘Mom’, ‘Bulbbul’, and ‘Qala’. 

Despite her struggle, Triptii Dimri only got famous after she starred in a minor role in ‘Animal’. Her role in the film was loved by critics and audiences alike. It would not be wrong to say that ‘Animal’ proved to be a considerable advancement in Triptii Dimri’s career.

It is also important to note that Triptii Dimri not only became a star after ‘Animal’ but also created history. She became the first Indian actress to give an over Rs 500 crore A-rated film. 

‘Animal’, despite being A-rated, became the third highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. Made for Rs 100 crore, ‘Animal’ went on to earn Rs 917.82 crore worldwide. 

At the 69th Filmfare Awards, ‘Animal’ received 19 nominations and won six awards.
