Even if one belongs to a film family, they don’t necessarily succeed in the film industry. There are many such examples of actors who, despite belonging to a film family, struggle to make a name for themselves. Today,  we will tell you about one such actor who is known for playing some of Bollywood’s most memorable roles. However, there came a time in his career when he was forced to take a break after working in many flop films. 

We are talking about Emraan Hashmi, son of Syed Anwar Hashmi, a businessman who also acted in a film called ‘Baharon Ki Manzil’ (1968). Emraan Hashmi is also related to the Bhatt family. Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt are his uncles which also makes him the cousin of Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Rahul Bhatt. Director Mohit Suri is also his cousin. 

Let us tell you that Emraan Hashmi debuted as an assistant director with ‘Raaz’. He then made his acting debut in 2003 with the film ‘Footpath’ in 2003 opposite Bipasha Basu. The film was a flop at the box office.

Despite establishing himself in the industry, there came a time in Emraan Hashmi’s career when 15 of his films were mega-flops at the box office. However, Emraan Hashmi, instead of giving up, took a break and had a career resurgence when he played a villain in Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Tiger 3’, co-starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. 

‘Tiger 3’ earned Rs 466.63 crore worldwide and became the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023. 

Emraan Hashmi is soon going to make his Telugu debut with Sujeeth’s ‘They Call Him OG’, co-starring Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan.

Reports state that Emraan Hashmi charges Rs 6 crore per film along with a share of the profits and has an estimated net worth of Rs 120 crore.
