Karan Johar went gaga over Kartik Aaryan’s performance in Chandu Champion and praised Kabir Khan’s film.
Kartik Aaryan’s latest movie, Chandu Champion continues winning the hearts of the audience. The Kabir Khan’s directorial started on a slow note, but day by day the film kept performing better. Now, filmmaker Karan Johar, with whom he had a fallout with Aaryan during Dostana 2, praised the movie, and even called Kartik’s career-best performance.
Karan, on his Instagram Stories, shared a poster of the film, and he wrote, “Kabir Khan directs this brave and inspiring life tale like a love letter to the human spirit! Kartik Aaryan gives his career-best performance with a humane and honest portrayal… a must-watch.” Kartik also reacted to Karan’s words of appreciation, and wrote on his Instagram Stories, “Thank you Karan. Means a lot.”

Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar’s fallout during Dostana 2
Kartik was signed to lead Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, the sequel to 2008’s superhit Dostana with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya Lalwani. However, soon after the film went on the floor, there were reports about disagreements between Kartik and Karan. On April 16, 2021, in an official statement, Dharma Productions announced, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon (sic).” However, the film never went on floors again, and it’s indefinitely shelved.

After three years, Kartik Aaryan has finally reacted to the fallout speculations. While speaking to Lallantop, the actor said, “Dekhiye, woh boht purani baat ho gayi. Kai bar bahut miscommunication hota hai aur kai bar bahot cheezein out of proportion bhi chali jati hai aur sepcifically jab voh likha jata hai to voh sound kuch aur karta hai.( This news is quite old now. Many a time, there is miscommunication or something is blown out of proportion especially when something is written and it sounds completely different).” Chandu Champion is currently running in the cinemas.
