Jaccky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani’s production house Pooja Entertainment is reportedly facing a financial crunch after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s box office failure.
Amid the financial troubles being reportedly faced by Pooja Entertainment, its owner Jackky Bhagnani has finally broken his silence. It was reported that last week that the production house is yet to clear unpaid dues of several actors and crew members, who worked on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Now, Bhagnani has shared that Akshay Kumar has come forward to help them as the superstar has put his fee on hold until all the cast and crew members of the film are paid.
In an official statement released on Monday, Jackky said, “Akshay sir met me recently to discuss this matter. Upon learning about this situation, Akshay sir didn’t hesitate to step forward and show his support for the crew. He has insisted that his payments be placed on hold until every single crew member working on our projects receive their full and final payment. We are incredibly grateful for Akshay sir’s understanding and his willingness to stand with us during this time. The movie business hinges on strong relationships and that is the spirit we strive to foster at in the industry.”
Released on the occasion of Eid earlier this year in April, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan became one of the biggest flops in Bollywood. Made in Rs 350 crore, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial could only earn Rs 65.96 crore in India and Rs 111.49 crore worldwide (as per the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk). The action thriller also starred Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar, and Sonakshi Sinha.
