For the past few days, everyone has been talking about Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The audience has been waiting for a long time for this sci-fi mythological film directed by Nag Ashwin. This is probably the first time that two biggest superstars of Bollywood – Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, are working on a South film in lead roles.

Everyone’s eyes are now set on the box office numbers of the film. It is expected that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ could do a business of up to Rs 200 crores on the first day itself.

This number might surprise many people but let us tell you, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ would not be the first film to achieve this feat. Before this, two South films have done a business of over Rs 200 crore on the opening day. We are talking about the film ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ and ‘RRR’.

In terms of first-day earnings, there is no Bollywood or any film originally made in Hindi in India’s top 6 films. The first 6 spots in the list are occupied by South films.
