‘Ek saal tak kisi ko…’



Naezy opens up on how his career got ruined when he was kept in prison during Gully Boy’s filming.

Rapper Naved Shaikh aka Naezy, who is currently participating in Bigg Boss OTT 3, makes shocking revelations about being kept in prison during the filming of Gully Boy. 

While talking to Ranvir Shorey, Naezy talked about how he was kept in prison for one year during the filming of Gully Boy and said, “I was about to become powerful and that’s when I suddenly went missing from Instagram and YouTube, which shocked people. People started questioning where I was during a time when a movie (Gully Boy) was being made about me.” 

When Ranvir Shorey asked him where he was, Naezy said, “Merko andar le liya tha bhai, prison mein. Kyuki mein zyada bada aur powerful banne wala tha, toh jealous log the system mein, jo log ko mujhe bother karna tha unlog ne kiya.” 

Naezy further added how after this incident his career was ruined and he couldn’t get to the peak again and said, “Merepe bohot saare allegations daalke daal diya andar smartly. Mein andar tha 1 saal take. Kisi ko mere bare mein khabar nahi, nor parents, nobody (They kept in prison for one year after making several allegations against me. Neither my parents nor anybody else knew where I was). Rumours were doing the rounds that I was in Dubai. After that, when I returned, my fans became emotional. I was in bad condition. My life was spoiled after that one incident. I could not get into that peek again in my career.” 

For the unversed, Gully Boy starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, was Inspired by the lives of Indian street rappers DIVINE and Naezy. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the film emerged to be a massive hit at the box office and also received appreciation from critics as well as the audience. 

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss OTT 3 is being hosted by Anil Kapoor this year. Apart from Naezy, the show also stars Shivani Kumari, Sana Makbul, Ranvir Shorey, Vishal Pandey, Armaan Malik, Deepak Churasiya, and Chandrika Gera Dixit among others, who are fighting for the trophy.
