Sara Ali Khan shares details about Anant, Radhika’s pre-wedding at Jamnagar



When asked about her experience at the Ambani pre-wedding event in Jamnagar in March, Sara Ali Khan jokingly said ‘they would serve us gold’.

Sara Ali Khan, in her recent interview, talked about attending the lavish pre-wedding event of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar. She playfully commented about the event being filled with gold and diamonds, describing it as a ‘warm’ affair.

While speaking to Mid-Day, when asked about her experience at the Ambani pre-wedding event in Jamnagar in March, Sara jokingly replied, “They would serve us gold. Like, with our roti, we were eating gold. I swear, and there were diamonds everywhere.”


She then said, “It was nice, lovely, warm, hospitable event. I have gone to school with Anant, I have known Radhika growing up. It was very warm. The entire Ambani family, Nita Ma’am who was the chairperson of Dhirubai Ambani school, they are so warm and welcoming. I think everyone looks at them like, Ambani family, wow, gold. But there were real moments that stood out, like Nita Ma’am performing on-stage.”

The three-day grand celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar were attended by celebrities from various fields like entertainment, politics, sports, and business. The Ambani family is known for its generosity toward their guests and this time was no different.

In a heartwarming gesture, the Ambani family also honoured the establishment of the Vantara animal rehabilitation centre. Guests were given custom-designed handbags crafted by Bombay Artisan Co, these bags were made of cruelty-free leather and adorned with bespoke gold buckle and chain detailing. These bags featured hand-painted animal motifs such as lions, tigers, leopards, elephants, and deer. 

Additionally, the pre-wedding favours reportedly included unique candles crafted by visually impaired artists of Sunrise Candles from Mahabaleshwar. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash was one extravagant event where the Ambani family left no stone unturned to make its guests feel special.
