Thomas Tuchel will be forced into one change as Bayern Munich host Mainz on Saturday afternoon.
Aleksandar Pavlović is suspended after accumulating his fifth yellow card of the season in Bayern’s 2-2 draw at Freiburg last Friday. That means Konrad Laimer should return to the starting lineup for Bayern, alongside Leon Goretzka, with Joshua Kimmich retaining his place at right-back.
Eric Dier holds an impressive stat of never been dribbled past in the Bundesliga this season, the only outfield player to do so that’s played 500 minutes or more this season. The Englishman is likely to start alongside Matthijs de Ligt, but Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae both remains options to Tuchel.
Serge Gnabry returned midweek against Lazio, and is available for Bayern on Saturday afternoon, but Kingsley Coman remains sidelined while Leroy Sané also returns after being sidelined last week.
