Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Freiburg

Thomas Tuchel is expected to make one change to Bayern Munich’s starting eleven against Freiburg on Friday night, as they look to close the gap to Bayer Leverkusen to five points.

It’s a forced change for Tuchel. Matthijs de Ligt is unavailable after accumulating his fifth yellow card, which means Kim Min-jae will work his way back into the starting lineup, alongside Eric Dier. Although Konrad Laimer came on as a substitute in Bayern’s 2-1 win against RB Leipzig last weekend, Joshua Kimmich is again expected to start at right-back in the absence of Sacha Boey and Noussair Mazraoui, which also means Aleksandar Pavlović will retain his place in midfield alongside Leon Goretzka.

Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies are all working on their return following recent injuries, it’s also possible that the latter two could return to the squad by their Champions League clash against Lazio on Wednesday.

Defensively, Dayot Upamecano remains an option, while Bryan Zaragoza, Mathys Tel and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are also available for Tuchel against Freiburg.
