For quite a while now, NewJeans‘ Hanni has been rocking the shortest hairstyle that any of the members of the group have had so far. It first appeared in May when they released their “Bubble Gum” music video, and whether it was always planned to be Hanni’s style for their last couple of comebacks or it was just such a fan favorite that her stylists decided to keep it, she’s been seen with the bob cut in every public appearance since then.

Because of this, it’s understandable why many would believe that this was Hanni’s real hair. Though the cut was an unconventional one, many fans loved how Hanni looked with the unique style. There were some comments about how it sometimes looked stiff or greasy, but overall, the response seemed to be a positive one.

That’s why it comes as a surprise to some to learn that it was, in fact, a wig this whole time! And it turns out, Hanni’s real hair has gotten longer in the last month or two, which is evident in new media released of the NewJeans member.

During a recent livestream with Danielle, Hanni’s real hair was able to breathe again without being covered by the wig, which their fans were glad to see!
