The popular variety show 2 Days & 1 Night‘s premise is “The cast members take various trips throughout South Korea, including many offshore islands. While doing so, members also perform missions at a certain mealtime or point of the day to earn rewards and to avoid punishments.” It currently stars Kim Jong Min, Yeon Jung Hoon, Moon Se Yoon, DinDin, Na In Woo, and Yoo Seon Ho. Recently, they were joined by the K-Pop girl group NewJeans.
The episode aired on June 9. The NewJeans members, except Hyein, who was on hiatus due to injury, guested.
Due to their unexpected chemistry, clips of Danielle and actor Na In Woo’s interactions have garnered attention on social media.
In the now-viral edit of their interactions, Na In Woo tells Danielle it’s nice to meet her. He also jokingly refers to each other as “X-Man.” In the final clip, he lets her pick an item for him to eat.

The video went viral with 1.1M views on TikTok at the time of writing. Netizens on both X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok had mixed reactions to In Woo’s behavior.

Many found In Woo and Danielle’s interactions “adorable.” Some even said they gave “sibling vibes.”
Yet, many found the clips “creepy” rather than “adorable,” pointing out the clear age gap between the two celebrities. Danielle is still technically a teenager at 19, while Na In Woo is ten years her senior.
So, netizens had the “ick” that it appeared a grown man was “fanboying” over a teenager. Some were worried he was even flirting.
In one of the clips, Danielle’s fellow NewJeans members even appear to be “shielding” her from Na In Woo, reinforcing netizens’ concerns.
Still, some who watched the entire episode warned others not to judge based on out-of-context clips. They explained that by watching the entire episode, they would understand and realize In Woo was not displaying inappropriate or creepy behavior.
The clips in the video are from a portion of the episode in which the cast began to tease Danielle and In Woo for being the weak links on the teams. So, In Woo had been happy not to be the only one “bad at games.” So, when NewJeans appeared to be “shielding” Danielle from Na In Woo, it’s not because he’s a creep. It’s due to his “X-Man” comment. They were trying to block the “connection” so she wouldn’t be associated with being bad at games like In Woo is.
