The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest Mumbai weather update, has predicted a partly cloudy sky with light rainfall and thundershower for Mumbai on Monday.

The weather department has forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light rain and thundershower in Mumbai and its suburbs on Friday (June 7).
The maximum temperature in the city is likely to settle at 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be recorded at 29 degrees Celsius.
A high tide of about 4.67 metres is expected to hit Mumbai at 12.50 pm today, stated Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The civic body also said that a low tide of about 1.75 metres is expected at 6.55 pm today.
Last month, Mumbai witnessed unseasonal rain with gusty winds during which a hoarding collapsed in the Ghatkopar area, claiming several lives.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon reached Maharashtra on Thursday, bringing respite to the state where many parts have been reeling under scorching heat and severe water shortage.
IMD scientist Sunil Kamble said the monsoon has reached Sindhudurg district in south Konkan and Sangli and Kolhapur in western Maharashtra.
It is likely to reach Mumbai between June 9 and 10, he added.
Several parts of Maharashtra have been witnessing severe water shortage, with high temperatures exacerbating the situation.
As of Thursday, 11,565 villages and hamlets in 34 districts were being provided water through government and private tankers, according to official data.
The Centre on Thursday stressed the need for states to be better prepared to meet challenges related to heat wave and forest fires, ensure no loss of life and to minimise damage.
At a meeting of the National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC), Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba also gave an assurance to the states and Union territories that the central ministries and departments are closely engaging with them to ensure optimum preparedness and for implementing timely mitigation and response measures, according to an official statement.
The issue of heat wave and forest fires was discussed at a meeting of the NCMC, chaired by the cabinet secretary who took stock of the preparedness of the central and state governments.
Chief secretaries of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, and senior officials from Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh also attended the meeting through video conferencing.
