Kingsley Coman is set to miss EURO 2024 with France

As reported by L’Équipe (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman is set to miss EURO 2024 with France.

Earlier this month, Coman was forced to withdraw from Der Rekordmeister’s 2-0 victory against FC Köln after sustaining an injury to his right leg. After the full-time whistle, it was reported that the 27-year-old might be able to make a return in time for the upcoming European Championship in Germany this summer.

However, now there is a significantly reduced chance that the Frenchman will be fit in time. As well as this, Coman himself is said to have accepted that he will not be able to feature for France at the tournament.

This has, therefore, left a space open in Didier Deschamps’ squad. It is understood that former Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby is in line to replace Coman, alongside PSG winger Bradley Barcola.

As for Bayern, this also rules Coman out for the remainder of their season. With prior hope that he may still have been able to make a return for the Champions League final, should Bayern overcome Real Madrid, the Bavarian giants will now have to focus on the competition without him in mind.
