BELIFT LAB Slammed After ILLIT’s Wonhee Seen Using Crutch Incorrectly

“Why is no one helping her…”

On June 14, KST, BELIFT Lab made an announcement regarding ILLIT Wonhee’s health, mentioning that she sustained an ankle injury during a filming schedule that week. Since then, her doctor advised her to wear a brace and avoid excessive movements, which she appears to be adhering to. During the group’s performance at AliExpress 2024 Weverse Con Festival recently, she remained seated during the show rather than partake in the choreography.

She has since been seen in public continuing to use a crutch to limit the strain on her injured leg. However, in a recent appearance, netizens couldn’t help but notice that Wonhee appears to be using the crutch on the wrong side of her body, and blame is being aimed at her label and the staff members for not helping her out.

The correct way to use a single crutch is by placing it on the side of your uninjured leg, which might seem counterintuitive.

Tip: It is correct to place one crutch on the side of your healthy foot!

Use the crutch to move with your hurt leg and move forward with your healthy leg.

Wonhee was seen using a single crutch on the side of her injured foot. It’s unclear if this was how someone instructed her to use it, if she didn’t get proper instructions, or she simply forgot.

Regardless of why she was using the crutch this way, she was visibly struggling while carrying an armload of belongings, and no one around Wonhee seemed to offer to help her or correct how she was using her crutch.

The backlash from netizens has been pretty harsh, as people criticize BELIFT LAB staff for not only not correcting her, but just letting her struggle in general with her injured ankle despite the obvious strain.
