SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi Responds To University Not Allowing Guests To Use The Bathroom While Waiting In Ticket Line

These are basic human rights!

With the weather warming, the university festival season has started in Korea! With many popular idol groups and artist lineups, these festivals are popular among university students, fans, and the public. However, Hanyang University is being criticized for its basic human rights restrictions to those standing in line.

For day 2, popular groups such as CRAVITY, Choi Yena, and BSS were a part of the guest lineup. Fans and outsiders not from the university began standing in line for the festival early in the morning to secure seats. However, people were baffled at the staff’s announcement to those standing in line.

I stood in line in the late hours of the night! They told someone standing in line around 6 AM that they couldn’t go to the bathroom after 7:30 AM; otherwise, they would have to get in the back of the line. Right now, at 10:30 AM, if you say you’re going to the bathroom, you have to stand in line again. The staff isn’t saying to not go to the bathroom, they keep saying that if you go to the bathroom, there will be a problem with safety.

I’m standing in line at the ERICA campus, and they said you can’t go to the bathroom after 7:30 AM. The moment you go, you have to go to the back of the line. But the actual festival starts at 9 PM…Do you want me to pull a ‘Hanteo Show’ on Hanyang University’s precious grass?

Is the ERICA campus crazy? They’re telling the people in line that they can’t use the bathroom. If you go, you must go to the back of the line. They even said there are no exceptions, even if you’re on your period. What the hell?

ok

I’m standing in the outsider line and they won’t let anyone use the bathroom. Around 7 or 7:30 AM they said if you get out of line, you can’t come back. They announced this at the front, and I also heard it and said, ‘How can we not go for this long,’ they said, ‘Didn’t you come here because you could handle that.’ I’m ok with not going to the bathroom now, but someone jus tasked if they could go and they said you can’t come back if you get out of line…

People were furious as they did not just form a line out of nowhere but because the university posted a message online about opening the ticket booth line through Instagram.

The lines for the tickets barricade will open starting at 2 AM.

What was even more shocking was that they were selling tickets at 10,000 KRW ($~7.33 USD) to outsiders.
