While getting her hair done, Sowon and Lee had a candid conversation about GFRIEND members. Sowon shared that all the members recently attended a VIVIZ concert together, the new group formed by former GFRIENDs Eunha, SinB, and Umji. She added that the members meet pretty often, and this recent one was their first meeting in two months.

Lee then mentioned that there are still many fans who want GFRIEND to call off their disbandment, which Sowon corrected immediately, saying that the group never disbanded. Only their exclusive contract with Source Music had ended.

Many articles used to say we disbanded. So people are beliving like that.

Sowon then shared that the members still share opinions about their performances with each other, and she still pushes herself to keep practicing since she is convinced that she will be performing on stage with the group once again.

When Lee suggested that GFRIEND could join VIVIZ on stage for a performance during their concert, Sowon gently turned down the idea, saying that it was a place to put the spotlight on VIVIZ alone. For a GFRIEND comeback, she wishes to go all out!

Meanwhile, GFRIEND debuted in 2015 with the iconic song “Glass Bead.” The song quickly took over the charts as the public was impressed by their powerful choreography and perfect vocals. They continued to have an excellent track record, releasing hit after hit. Fan favorites include “Me Gustas Tu,” “Time For The Moonlight,” and, of course, “MAGO.” “MAGO was their final song in 2021 before announcing that they would be parting ways with Source Music.

Their departure was so abrupt that fans are still not over it. They have been hoping for the members to return as a full group soon, and it looks like the idea might be in the books for all the members as well!
