The 42-year-old wicketkeeper-batter, who had been grappling with a knee injury throughout the season, was rumoured to consider retiring if CSK had clinched the IPL 2024 title in Chennai. However, RCB dashed Dhoni’s hopes of a dream farewell, leaving his future uncertain with no official confirmation.

MS Dhoni takes an economy-class flight

With CSK’s journey concluded Dhoni has decided to take a break from cricket. Recently, the ex-CSK captain was spotted boarding an economy-class flight from Bengaluru to Ranchi, leaving his fellow passengers amazed.

In a viral video, Dhoni can be seen stowing his luggage in the overhead compartment before taking his seat. The passengers recorded these moments on their phones and then applauded Dhoni for his humble demeanour.

Leading from the front, he steered CSK to victory, securing five IPL titles and solidifying their position as one of the most dominant teams in the league’s history.
