Bayern Munich bid farewell to two players

On Sunday afternoon, Bayern Munich overcame Wolfsburg 2-0 at the Allianz Arena. For Der Rekordmeister, this clash represented their final home game of the season, and for one player, it would be their final appearance in front of a home crowd.

Prior to kick-off, Bouna Sarr bid farewell to the Bayern faithful. Having signed for the record champions in October 2020, Sarr said goodbye to the club that he has experienced a significant amount of success with.

Despite rarely featuring for Bayern across his four-year stint at the club, Sarr will depart Bavraia as a three-time German champion, a one-time DFL-Supercup winner, and a FIFA Club World Cup champion. As well as this, in 33 appearances, Sarr scored one goal and generated four assists during his injury-plagued time in Munich.

However, another player who will also be departing Bavaria this summer is Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. Joining Bayern at the same time as Sarr, Choupo-Moting featured 122 times for the club, scoring 38 goals and registering 13 assists.

Nevertheless, due to illness, the 35-year-old was not in attendance and, therefore, unable to receive the same farewell as Sarr. Regardless, with Bayern ending their campaign at Hoffenheim next weekend, Choupo-Moting will hope to feature as he looks to leave Bayern on a positive note.
