Tamil director Shankar, known for his grand cinematic vision, has expressed a keen interest in working with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the future.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Shankar shared that he has met with Shah Rukh Khan a couple of times after their initial collaboration discussions for the movie ‘Robot,’ but unfortunately, nothing materialized. However, he remains hopeful about a potential collaboration.
“After Robot movie also I have met once or twice with SRK for some other film, but it didn’t fall in place.But anytime if some script comes in mind which is suitable for SRK sir, definitely I will do that,” Shankar stated. This revelation has sparked excitement among fans, who are eagerly waiting for the two cinematic giants to join forces.
In the meantime, audiences are eagerly anticipating Shankar’s upcoming film, ‘Indian 2,’ which is set to release on July 12. The film, a vigilante action drama, is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster ‘Indian.’ Directed by Shankar, the movie’s dialogues have been penned by B. Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar. Despite high expectations, the trailer of ‘Indian 2‘ received mixed reactions from the audience.
Shankar’s work includes a string of successful films known for their larger-than-life storytelling and visual effects. His interest in working with Shah Rukh Khan hints at the possibility of a future project that could blend Shankar’s visionary direction with Shah Rukh Khan’s charismatic screen presence.
