‘Kalki 2898 AD’ box office collection day 2 early estimate: The Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer maintains strong hold; collects Rs 18.50 crore in Hindi |

Nag Ashwin‘s ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, has maintained strong box office performance on its second day in Hindi markets.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, early estimates suggest the film has garnered between Rs 18.00 crore to Rs 19.00 crore on Friday alone. This sci-fi epic, set against the backdrop of Mahabharata, has now accumulated a two-day nett total just shy of the Rs 40 crore mark.

The film exhibited a minimal drop of less than 10 percent across the top three national chains—PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis—while mass circuits saw an expected decline of around 12 percent on Friday, typical for Thursday releases. This steady hold in collections bodes well for the future prospects of ‘Kalki 2898 AD.’ The film now targets another Rs 20 crore on Saturday and aims to approach the Rs 30 crore mark by Sunday.

Saturday’s growth might be slightly subdued due to the India vs South Africa World Cup finals impacting business. However, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is expected to compensate with stronger-than-usual performance on Sunday. The film targets a four-day weekend collection exceeding Rs 85 crore, aiming to approach the Rs 90 crore mark.

On the global stage, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ amassed a staggering Rs 163 crore on its opening day, marking the third highest single-day collection for an Indian film after ‘Bahubali 2’ (Rs 200 crore) and ‘RRR’ (Rs 189 crore). The film continues to perform well both domestically and internationally on Friday, with detailed estimates expected soon for both markets.
