BTS’ Jimin drops upbeat single ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band’ featuring rapper Loco | K-pop Movie News

BTS continues to defy expectations and maintain their unstoppable momentum, even amidst their members’ ongoing military enlistments in South Korea. Following a string of successful solo projects from RM, Jung Kook, and j-hope, Jimin emerges with his latest single, ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band’, featuring rapper Loco.

This new track serves as a preview of Jimin’s upcoming second solo project, titled MUSE, slated for release on July 19.

The title ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band’ pays homage to Jimin’s longtime collaborators Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and EVAN, who dubbed themselves the ‘Smeraldo Marching Band’ during the production of Jimin’s first solo project. The name references a fictional flower from the BTS Universe, where numerous narratives unfold across songs, music videos, and supplementary content.
Musically, ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band’ features a vibrant energy with its lively brass ensemble, presenting a much cheerier vibe compared to the intense pre-release single from FACE, ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’. In an interview with Consequence, Jimin described ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’ as “very intense”, showcasing a stark contrast to his latest release. In the new single, Jimin croons, “I’ll come closer to you, I love you, babe/ I want you, babe/ I wanna hold your hand”, highlighting a tender and affectionate tone.

While Jimin and several other BTS members – RM, SUGA, V, and Jung Kook – continue their military service obligations, eldest member Jin has completed his duties as a sergeant and returned to civilian life. j-hope is slated to conclude his military service in October, keeping BTS fans eagerly anticipating each member’s creative output despite their temporary absence from the group’s collective activities.
