‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ was one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas is like a modern day take on Mahabharat, in the world of sci-fi and ace VFX. Meanwhile, just in Hindi, the film has made Rs 22-23 crore, which is 5 percent more than DP’s last film ‘Fighter’. As far as the India collection in all languages is concerned, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ now stands behind ‘KGF 2’ as that film had made Rs 105 crore nett in India. The gross number was even higher.
The overseas collection of the film is around Rs 65 crore. So, the total of the collection in India and overseas – the worldwide collection now stands at Rs 180 crores.
