Actor Shanthi Priya who was already a renowned actor in the South industry when she made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Saugandh’ alongside a newbie that was none other than Akshay Kumar. The same film marked his debut in the film industry. Shanthi even talked about how she bagged a Hindi movie alongside a newcomer. The actress shared that while she was doing ‘Vishwamitra’, she got a call from Bombay and they offered her to sign a three film contract. When Shanthi asked the producers about the male lead in the film, they informed her it was a new boy.
Akshay Kumar, who has always been known as the prankster of Bollywood, is known for pranking his co-stars on sets of the film. Shanti even shared that from day one of their shoot he was very fun.
During a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Shanthi shared, “He was like that from day 1, very mastikhor. I can tell you that he has changed from the first schedule to the second schedule. In the first schedule, he was very quiet and calm thinking that he was just new. But he was very fun and I can vouch for it.”
When the actress was questioned if she had talked to Akshay after so many years. She stated, “I have spoken to him a couple of years back but I have not recently spoken or met him anywhere.“
