Farah Khan reveals Mithun Chakraborty’s entry caused stampede on ‘Om Shanti Om’ set: ‘Fans gave their phones to Shah Rukh Khan to click their pictures with Mithun da’ | Hindi Movie News



Director Farah Khan recently shared a memorable moment from the sets of her iconic film ‘Om Shanti Om‘, specifically during the shooting of the star-studded song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’. In a candid interaction on Radio Nasha, Farah opened-up the chaos that ensued when Mithun Chakraborty arrived on set. Despite the presence of numerous A-list celebrities, Mithun’s entry caused a near stampede.
Farah explained, “People went crazy for Mithun da, and even I couldn’t believe it.There was a stampede on the set. Mithun da also came after a long time, so light boys and everybody came on the set. I think he was the president of some association and had done a lot for workers. They were literally giving their phones to Shah Rukh to click their photos with Mithun da.”
The song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’, composed by Vishal-Shekhar with lyrics by Javed Akhtar, featured 31 actors from the Hindi film industry, including legendary names such as Dharmendra, Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Sanjay Dutt, and many others. Despite the array of stars, it was Mithun Chakraborty who drew an overwhelming reaction from the crew and fans present.
In an interview on IFTDA Official’s YouTube channel, Farah revealed that Shah Rukh Khan, the producer of ‘Om Shanti Om,’ gave goodie bags worth Rs 1 lakh to all the actors who attended the song shoot. The female actors also got to keep the costumes designed by Manish Malhotra.
