Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap are one of the most adored celebrity couples in Bollywood. The actor recently disclosed that after gaining immense popularity after ‘Roadies’, he broke up with his then-girlfriend Tahira, who is now his wife. The celebrity’s wife discussed the same incident in a recent conversation.
The ‘Sharmajee Ki Beti’ director said she was a strong woman when she was questioned if she was left heartbroken after their break up.Tahira stated, “I was a strong-headed woman. I have always been one. I didn’t reach much into what Ayushmann said. However, I must add that this is why we have lasted for so long. We both respect each other’s individuality. We have always done that and continue to do so.”
Tahira, who met Ayushmann during their college days, said that their relationship has evolved over time. She was also questioned if it is simpler for couples in a relationship to develop and grow together. She responded by expressing her opinion that things may go either way.
She stated that she would be unable to comment on it since she is not a professional relationship counsellor and has never been in another relationship. She did, however, reaffirm her belief that a person’s interests do matter and may grow. She said that as people mature, their interests and passions change.
Talking about her relationship, Tahira said, “With God’s grace, we have a lot of commonalities and enjoy common things. Apart from that, we also bond over our love for storytelling and our kids.”
She further added, “I must also add that I still find him funny. Many may find his PJs no longer hilarious, but I think they are amazing.”
Tahira went on to say that her husband is not the reason behind her love of filmmaking. Instead, she disclosed that their shared passion for theater and dramatics is the reason they are together. She remembered how they used to compete with one another in their respective colleges during high school.
On the work front, Tahira Kashyap is gearing up for the release of her directorial film, ‘Sharmajee Ki Beti’. The film stars Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher in the pivotal roles. It will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from June 28.
