Kartik Aaryan essays the titular role in this film, which also stars Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora and Yashpal Sharma in pivotal roles. For this entertainer, Kartik underwent a massive physical transformation, which involved months of training. Speaking about the same, Kartik had shared with ETimes, “Both of them (emotionally and physically getting into the part) were difficult and they were co-related. Building this body was a work of a lot of patience and it took really long. I had never imagined a film like this, genre like this and this is something I’ve never attempted. For me, I was trying to give my 200 percent – be it the psyche or physique in every way possible. We did a lot of workshops, reading sessions. We did a lot of workshops with a dialect expert to get the Marathi lingo and to not overdo it. There’s always a thin line between making it sound correct and overdoing it. It’s been quite a while that we started prepping for this film. All said and done, I’m really proud of this film.”
Up next, Kartik will be seen in horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, co-starring Tripti Dimri, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan.
