Fans continue to love Karan Johar‘s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ and the filmmaker has increased anticipation among fans by announcing that the program would return for a brand-new season. He recently stated in an interview that the show will return in 2025 with more humour and candour.
In an interview with Sucharita Tyagi, the filmmaker was asked about his plans to return for the upcoming season of the show.In response, Karan stated that they intended to take a year off and return in 2025. He continued by saying that he intended to return with a revised syntax in light of the criticism he received the previous year, which described the show as having the most “boring rapid fire.”
He shared, “I was like, ‘why am I even doing this?’ You’re not giving me questions. Should we just drop the rapid fire, and I will take the hamper because no one really deserves to win it. Now, I am like let’s change the world of Koffee with Karan with the ninth season. And it will be back with all the fun and the chattiness.”
Karan also said in the interview that there are occasions when celebrities are afraid to talk about themselves and don’t express as much as they used to. He presents a new example of the candour that former show participants like Mahesh Bhatt used to exhibit.
He jokingly said, “With the way Bhatt sahab is, he will still give me such answers. But I think I would get into trouble. Like, you called him, and you got these answers. Why didn’t you edit?”
Season 8 of ‘Koffee With Karan’ debuted with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as the first guests on the couch last year. Other attendees included Rani Mukerji and Kajol, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor and Kushi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and Rani Mukerji and Kajol.
