Jimin apologizes to friend Ha Sung-woon for lack of support during military service | K-pop Movie News



During his ongoing military service in the South Korean Army, Jimin, renowned as a singer-songwriter and a member of the globally acclaimed boy band BTS, has recently opened up about the challenges and reflections brought on by military life. Enlisting alongside fellow BTS member Jungkook on December 12, 2023, Jimin has spent significant time in training, gaining new insights that have prompted him to reflect on his relationships outside the military.

In a candid moment shared with his close friend and fellow artist Ha Sung-woon, Jimin expressed heartfelt regret for not maintaining closer contact during Sung-woon’s own military service.Sung-woon, a popular figure in the Korean music industry and a member of the former boy group Wanna One, disclosed in a recent interview with GQ Korea’s July 2024 issue that Jimin had reached out to him during his military stint.
During their conversation, Sung-woon recalled Jimin’s apology, revealing, “Once Jimin, who was in the military, called me and said that he was sorry. I asked him, ‘Why are you sorry?’ and laughed because I knew exactly how he felt. He said, ‘Hyung, I played too much when you were in the military… I am so sorry that I didn’t call you…’” Sung-woon empathized with Jimin’s realization, humorously pointing out the challenges of military life, saying, “Hey, you see? Right? You can now feel how hard it was for me right? But now I’m getting out!”

Sung-woon, 30, completed his military service as a corporal on April 23, 2024, after enlisting on October 24, 2022. Meanwhile, Jimin continues his service, with expectations for his discharge in June next year.
