Ahead of her wedding with Zaheer, former CBFC chairperson and Sonakshi’s uncle, Pahlaj Nihalani, shared his thoughts on his niece’s relationship with her parents.He told ETimes, “Sonakshi is her parents’ most favourite and is their weakness and strength. Everyone has the right to choose their partner, and I also believe in it. Shatruji is a broad-minded person, and he is very happy. Everyone who knows Sonakshi knows she is very understanding and down to earth.”
On Saturday, a puja took place at Shatrughan Sinha’s family home, Ramayan. Sonakshi, along with her parents, actively participated in the wedding preparations. After the puja concluded, Shatrughan, Poonam, and Sonakshi left Ramayan for Zaheer’s house, with Shatrughan beaming with a vibrant smile for the cameras.

Sonakshi’s close friends, Huma Qureshi and her brother Saqib Saleem, were also seen helping to ensure everything was in order. Manisha Koirala, who recently worked with Sonakshi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series Heeramandi, showered the bride-to-be with gifts.
Dismissing the rumours about Shatrughan Sinha being upset with Sonakshi’s wedding plans, the veteran actor posed with Zaheer for the paparazzi with smiles. Shatrughan also gave his blessings to his soon-to-be son-in-law.
Zaheer’s father Iqbal Ratansi clarified that Sonakshi will not be converting to Islam and emphasized that “religion has no role to play.” He added that the wedding will include “neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.”
After seven years of dating, Sonakshi and Zaheer will be getting married on Sunday, followed by a celebration at Shilpa Shetty’s luxurious restaurant, Bastian, in Mumbai. Several personalities, including Huma Qureshi and Aayush Sharma, are expected to join the couple on their special day.
