Jin Ki Joo and Seo Kang Joon to star in new action comedy drama



Jin Ki Joo has been confirmed to star alongside Seo Kang Joon in the upcoming action comedy drama “Undercover High School.” This news was announced on June 18, 2024, by MBC, which will air the drama as part of its Friday-Saturday lineup.

“Undercover High School” is a unique comedy action drama about a man who disguises himself as a high school student while secretly working as an agent for the National Intelligence Service (NIS).As he goes through the challenges of school life, he forms strong bonds and friendships with his classmates. The drama is written by Im Young Bin, known for his work on “Bad Prosecutor.”
In this series, Jin Ki Joo will play the role of Oh Soo Ah, a temporary Korean history teacher and the homeroom teacher for Jung Hae Sung, the undercover student portrayed by Seo Kang Joon. Oh Soo Ah is a dedicated teacher at the prestigious Byeongmun High School, recognized for her strong principles and genuine care for her students.

The storyline takes an interesting turn when Oh Soo Ah realizes that Jung Hae Sung resembles her first love from childhood, who had hurt her deeply. This resemblance brings back old memories and sets off a series of dramatic and comedic events in her life.

The production team expressed their enthusiasm about casting Jin Ki Joo, stating that she brings both intelligence and energy to the role of Soo Ah, making her an ideal fit. They highlighted that her interactions with Seo Kang Joon’s character, Hae Sung, are expected to deliver both unexpected comedy and romance, adding to the show’s appeal.
