The total business of ‘Chandu Champion’ now stands at approximately Rs 11.50 crore in two days. If a similar jump is recorded for Sunday as well, then ‘Chandu Champion’ is expected to earn around Rs 19-20 crore in its opening weekend. With Monday being a holiday, the extended weekend score is estimated to be over Rs 25 crore.

Kartik Aaryan’s physical transformation for ‘Chandu Champion’ has been hailed by many. The actor lost 18 kilos while prepping for the sports drama, which is helmed by Kabir Khan. Speaking about Kartik’s dedication to fitness, his trainer, Tridev had told ETimes, “Kartik really supported me a lot with the training, he was eager to learn everything. He wasn’t very good with skipping but he has now picked up 14-15 styles of skipping, from not being able to do a single push up to now doing pushups after putting 50-60 kilo plates on his back, Kartik really pushed himself a lot and that makes the trainer’s job easy. Kartik’s birthday was in November and a lot of his Bollywood friends who were present for the celebration knew that he was on diet so they got him healthy cakes. He cut the cake and didn’t eat even a single piece. I had to go up to him and tell him to eat it but still he didn’t. That was the level of the dedication and commitment he had for the film. In my 17 years of experience, I have not seen someone like him.”
