Priyanka Chopra shared an emotional note on the 11th death anniversary of her father, Dr Ashok Chopra. The ‘Mary Kom’ actress took to her social handle to share a special video of her father from his youth along with a message.
The video begins with her late father singing an old song ‘Sawan ke mahine mein ek aag si seene mein’ which follows with a series of throwback pictures from her childhood.The video also shows her father, who is also holding the mic with her, looking at her while singing.
Sharing the pictures, Priyanka wrote, “The light of every room. You’re still our brightest light dad. 11 years without you and it still doesn’t feel real. Thinking of you today and everyday. I love you. Forever.

For the unversed, Priyanka’s father passed away in June 2013 after a five-year battle with cancer. Over the years, she has commemorated him on various occasions. She also has a wrist tattoo dedicated to his memory.
Priyanka is currently shooting for The Bluff, directed by Frank E. Flowers. Set in the 19th-century Caribbean, the film follows a former female pirate, played by Priyanka, who must protect her family when the mysterious sins of her past catch up to her.
