Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has fiercely responded to those supporting the CISF constable involved in the recent slap incident at Chandigarh airport. In a fiery social media post, Ranaut condemned the people who have come out in support of the constable and likened it to endorsing crimes like rape and murder.
Ranaut, who has never shied away from expressing her opinions, took to her social media handle to address the trolling she faced and took a swipe at the individuals who have voiced their support for the female constable.According to reports the female CISF constable explained her actions, saying, “She [Kangana] stated that the farmers are sitting there for Rs 100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she made this statement.”
In her tweet, Kangana wrote, “Every rapist, murderer or thief always have a strong emotional, physical, psychological or financial reason to commit a crime, no crime ever happens without a reason, yet they are convicted and sentenced to jail.”

While explaining how violating laws of the land have their ramifications, she said, “Remember if you are ok with breaking in to someone’s intimate zone, without their permission touching their bodies and assaulting them, then deep down you are ok with rape or murder also because that’s also just penetration or stab only what big deal, you must look deeper into your psychological criminal tendencies.”

She went on to recommend that these individuals take up yoga and meditation to ‘free’ themselves. She said, “I suggest please take up yoga and meditation or else life will become a bitter and burdensome experience, don’t carry so much grudge, hate and jealousy please, free yourself.”

The controversy began when Ranaut alleged that she was slapped by CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur at Chandigarh airport. Ranaut claimed that Kaur, who was reportedly upset with the actress’s comments on the farmers’ protests, hit her during a security check.
The constable has since been suspended, and an FIR has been lodged against her under IPC sections 321 and 341. These are bailable offences.

Following the incident, social media was divided, with some users expressing support for the constable, citing Ranaut’s controversial statements about the farmers’ protests as a “provocation”.
Meanwhile, some public figures and political leaders have criticized her for her controversial statements and for comparing farmers to terrorists. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal notably advised Ranaut to “understand her responsibility” as a public figure.
