‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ box office collection day 5: The Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer sees a drop on Tuesday, holds better than ‘Srikanth’ | Hindi Movie News



Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi‘ had a decent first weekend at the box office. While the Saturday and Sunday numbers were average, the opening day collection of Rs 6.75 crore added to the overal opening weekend total. The film saw a drop on Monday and made around Rs 2.15 crore. However, on Tuesday, it dropped further by around 15-20 percent.
‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ collected Rs 1.85 crore on Tuesday after making more than Rs 2.15 crore on Monday.According to Sacnilk, the five-day total of the movie so far, is Rs 20.85 crore. Though, this percentage of drop for a Tuesday is considered normal. But the film is expected to hold steady for the next two days now, so that it sets the pace for its second Friday and second weekend.
However, this collection is better than ‘Srikanth Bolla’ which had made Rs 1.50 crore on its first Tuesday. By the end of its week 1, the total of ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ is expected to be around Rs 24 crore. If it manages to reach this total, then it would be Rs 5-6 crore more than ‘Srikanth’ in its first week.
Meanwhile, this upcoming Friday will see the relase of ‘Munjya’ which is a horror comedy, starring Sharvari Wagh, Mona Singh and Abhay Verma.
