Akshay Kumar is all set to mark his Marathi debut with in historical drama ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat‘, wherein he will play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Back in 2022, Akshay had begun shooting for the cameo and a clip of the same was shared on social media. However since then, there has been no further update on the movie.
Latest buzz suggests that the future of Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is uncertain because producer Vaseem Qureshi is facing budget issues, reports Bollywood Hungama.The report further stated that Akshay shot for three days and 50 percent of the movie has been completed, but there is no clarity about the shoot schedule or release date of Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.
Giving a shoutout to Akshay’s film, Ajay Devgn had shared in 2022, “Dear Akshay Kumar, looking forward to seeing you essay the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Marathi film – Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. He is my favourite Maratha hero and I’m happy yet another film is being made saluting this great warrior.” Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat stars Pravin Tarde, Hardeek Joshi, Vishal Nikam, Jay Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde and Virat Madke as seven brave warriors.
Previously, the makers had announced that Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat will hit the screens during Diwali 2023, but it was reportedly postponed to avoid a clash with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger 3’. It was also revealed that the team needed more time to shoot the war scenes, thus leading to the delay in releasing Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.
