Ever since Vidhu Vinod Chopra‘s ‘12th Fail’ released, which was based on the lives of Manoj Kumar Sharma and Shraddha Sharma, their story has reached all corners of India. In a recent interview, months after the release of the film, Manoj discussed the film’s influence and experience of how his mother was left in tears after watching it.
When asked about his parents’ response to the movie 12th Fail in an interview with The Lallantop, Manoj revealed that his mother sobbed when the director called her up on stage during one of the screenings.“My mother cried. Vidhu ji called her on the stage and then he asked my mother to say something. I feel those were some of the best moments of my life when my mother took his hand and kissed it. And she said this was great,” he shared.
Shraddha, who was accompanied by Manoj in the interview, revealed that Manoj breaks down every time he watches the movie. “Every time he sees the film, he cries. Both of us cry but he cries like a baby,” she said.
In the same conversation, Manoj and Shraddha opened up about their love story. Manoj stated that ever since he said in a previous interview that he was a “supporter of love marriages,” he has received requests from numerous students who wish to get married and require his support for the same. He laughed and continued, “All of them said, you are a supporter so now get us married.'”
