Ever since Salman Khan has announced his next action entertainer ‘Sikandar‘, all eyes have been on the casting of the movie. After Rashmika Mandanna was roped in to play the leading lady, the makers seem to have now zeroed in on the villain.
Sathyaraj, known for essaying Kattappa in the Baahubali franchise, will be seen playing the villain opposite Salman Khan in Sikandar, states a report by journalist and producer Chithra Laksmanan. Sathyaraj makes for an interesting addition to the cast, however the makers are yet to give an official confirmation about the same.
During Eid this year, Salman Khan had urged fans to watch ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Maidaan’, while also adding that he will arrive during Eid 2025 with ‘Sikandar’. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this film will see Salman essaying the titular role. Speaking about the movie, Murugadoss had told ETimes, “In addition to high-octane action sequences, it will be packed with emotions and also carry a powerful social message. It will be a pan-India film. Audiences can expect to see a new kind of Salman Khan in this film. Salman and I had discussed this project five years ago, but due to circumstances, we couldn’t proceed at that time. Recently, he asked for another narration. After that, he said that the script gave him a good vibe and asked if we could start working on it immediately.”
Apart from ‘Sikandar’, Salman Khan will also be seen in Tiger Vs Pathaan, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, this entertainer will go on floors this year.
