For me, all the memories came rushing by..”

He said, “The first day of shoot, everyone thought I would be nervous because I was this young guy pitted opposite the most beautiful actress, the biggest actress and set-up. The nerves were going haywire. But my theatre training helped me I guess and I held by. I had intimate scenes with her. But, Shashi ji (Shashi Kapoor) who produced the film and Rekha they were so encouraging as I was nervous about putting my hand around her or hugging her. But she’s a professional and what a professional she is. She just helped me go ahead and find my own path. She was so immensely helpful. The grand premiere of the film we had in five cities and all the memories came by.”
Shekhar said that such a debut set him up for his entire career and it’s inspiring for many newcomers that this city can throw surprises at people like this.
