Koa Phoenix Dolan, born on August 1, is the son of Ileana and her partner Michael Dolan. Announcing his arrival last year, Ileana expressed her joy on Instagram, stating, “There are no words to express how overjoyed we are to welcome our sweet boy into the world. Our hearts are beyond full.”
In a recent interview with ETimes, Ileana shared the story behind Koa’s unique name. Initially anticipating a girl, Ileana had only considered girl names, but she found the name Koa to be special and unique. “I wanted to name my baby something unusual because I have a unique name, too,” she explained. “Phoenix is a name that’s been on my mind for a while. Also, the line ‘Rising from the ashes like a phoenix’ is inspiring.”
As for her son’s reaction to the name, Ileana hopes he will appreciate its significance as he grows older. Her partner, Michael, also found the name endearing, adding to their decision.
While enjoying motherhood, Ileana continues to balance her personal life with her career. Her recent film “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” starring Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, hit theaters on April 19, 2024.
