Jason Shah recalls Salman Khan’s late arrival on the set of ‘Partner’; Reveals, ‘Producer used to request him to start working with folded hands’ | Hindi Movie News



Jason Shah, who portrayed Cartwright in the streaming series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, discussed his initial attraction to the world of Bollywood. He reminisced about his introduction to the industry as an extra in the Salman Khan film ‘Partner‘. Jason expressed admiration for Salman’s relaxed behavior on set, recalling how the actor would casually arrive late in the afternoon while producers urged him to focus on his tasks.
Talking to Entertainment LIVE, Jason looked back on his journey and said that he started modeling when he was 17-18.He did a small scene in the song ‘Dupatta Tera Nau Rang Da’ in ‘Partner’. That’s where he was bitten by the acting bug. He wanted to live this amazing life.
He further revealed that Salman Khan would arrive on set at 3 in the afternoon on his motorbike and nobody would do any work. At 4:30, the producer would request him with folded hands to do just one shot.
Salman Khan’s lateness on set is a topic that has been discussed by several of his co-stars in the past. Last year, actor Kubbra Sait told her experience on the set of ‘Bodyguard’, where she waited for hours without having eaten enough, only for Salman to arrive in the afternoon and promptly call for lunch. Similarly, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, actor Grusha Kapoor shared her frustration when Salman arrived on set a staggering 10 hours behind schedule.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali made his OTT debut with ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, which premiered on May 1. The show features a star-studded cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Farida Jalal, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman in pivotal roles.
