Boney Kapoor says his kids cried after her spoke about their family in interviews, says he apologied for getting ‘carried away’ | Hindi Movie News

In Bollywood, where image is everything, Boney Kapoor stands out for his frankness. As a well-known producer from the prestigious Kapoor family, he’s known for speaking his mind, earning both praise and criticism. In a recent interview, he opened up about what really goes on in the Kapoor family home, giving us a peek behind the scenes, where his children – Arjun, Anshula, Janhvi, and Khushi – occasionally find themselves grappling with the fallout of their father’s outspoken nature.
Recently when Boney spoke to ABP Live, he was asked if he ever said something wrong about his family in public and if there were any family issues because of it. Boney confessed that he sometimes does make mistakes when talking to the media about his family, and it does cause problems at home afterward. He said, “It has happened a lot of times. Whenever I sit down for an interview, I tell them that you just ask about me and not about family. Because sometimes, I get carried away and I say a lot of things. And they (my kids) say why do you have to speak so much?”
Boney mentioned that his kids think that some things about them, especially related to their acting careers, should be left for the audience to find out on their own. He mentioned, “That’s when I say I am sorry, I made a mistake.” When questioned if this had happened recently, Boney replied that because he hadn’t done any interviews in the past month, such a situation hadn’t occured.
He revealed that there was a time when his children became angry with him, and it led to all of them shedding tears. He said, “They have scolded me, gotten upset with me. After getting upset, kids cried, I cried, I apologised, they said dad don’t say sorry. It has reached that height.”
During the recent promotions of Maidaan, Boney talked about a disagreement he had with his brother Anil Kapoor regarding No Entry 2. He mentioned that his brother was unhappy because he wasn’t cast in the sequel. However, when asked about it later, Boney clarified that the situation was exaggerated.
