In an interview with Sidharth Kannan, Shreyas mentioned that he took this role even though it was not a lead character only because he wished to work with SRK and director Farah Khan.According to him, SRK wanted this film to be the biggest one, and he was ready to do anything for that. So he used to brainstorm new promotional ideas at odd hours. They even planned something just before the movie’s London premiere.

Shreyas calls his way of promoting the film a huge learning experience for him. The duo were sitting together in a washroom in a hotel room in London. The premiere was in the evening, and he still came up with some ideas. Shah Rukh said that Shreyas and he would dance on the red carpet to gain a lot of attention from people. As a person who never misused his stardom, Shah Rukh was easily able to get people’s attention at every premiere. Everything SRK did for promotion was phenomenal. He was sitting on the pot, and Shreyas was sitting on the tub until Deepika’s interview was over.
The actor further added that one night before the premiere, SRK knocked on his hotel room and asked him to invite the actor inside, as the former wondered what he was doing at that time. SRK explained the day’s plan to him, which included time for breakfast and time to leave for the press conference. The King Khan was explaining this at 11 p.m. for the London promotion. This could have been done by some PR team, but he did it himself.
Shreyas admitted that Shah Rukh Khan is not afraid of other actors stealing the limelight from him or landing a few extra punches because he knows him well. After this, Shah Rukh once told Shreyas that he really enjoyed shooting with him and even shared this with his wife, Gauri Khan.
