In recent weeks, leaked images have revealed that Nitesh Tiwari‘s ‘Ramayan‘, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, and Yash, has commenced filming at Mumbai’s Film City. The leaked photos have prompted the film’s producers to enhance the site’s security measures. ETimes has exclusively learnt that Nitesh Tiwari, along with his producer Namit Malhotra, have roped in international artist Daniel Jennings to come on board as the set designer for ‘Ramayan’.Daniel has been part of many international projects like The Lord of the Rings; The Rings of Power, Westworld, Obi- Wan Kenobi, 300 Rise of the Empire and Argo.
In a period film like ‘Ramayan’, which is going to be a trilogy, the sets are one of the major points to depict the scale and grandeur of the film. The mythological tale also gives enough opportunities to create powerful and mind blowing sets, be it the royal courts or the huge battlefields. The film is truly being made on an international scale. There have been murmurs about Hans Zimmer also coming on board to orchestrate the music with AR Rahman, but there is no confirmation about the same.
