AP Dhillon’s Guitar Breaking Incident at Coachella: King Responds to Criticism |

AP Dhillon floored fans with his performance at Coachella last month, however, his act of breaking his guitar on stage afterward sparked mixed reactions. The Indo-Canadian singer and rapper seemed to pay a tribute to late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala during the concern as he also posted a picture of him from the stage, where a message in the background read, “Justice for Sidhu Moosewala”.
Speaking about the backlash that AP received, another musician, King, told HT, “Many people are like, ‘Let’s just hate AP, because it’s in trend’.If you feel what he did was wrong, then be the bigger person and forgive him. Those criticising him are the same people who will be making reels on his song, saying, ‘woah, it’s the best’. If you don’t like what he did, don’t call him the best. I feel AP is really misunderstood as an artiste.”
Previously, Gippy had also defended AP’s act at Coachella 2024 and had told news18, “I’ve seen that clip. I don’t know why he broke his guitar. I assume that it was a part of his act. I don’t really know what happened onstage but sometimes what happens is that you plan for a certain thing to go a certain way but it goes all wrong. None of us want to intentionally hurt anyone or their sentiments but sometimes, we end up doing it unintentionally.”
Last year, Diljit Dosanjh performed at Coachella and won hearts with his act.
