Salman Khan firing case: Police car stationed outside actor’s house missing on morning of attack; Anti Terrorism Squad and National Investigation Agency initiate inquiries |

A probe into the security lapse outside the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan has revealed a major update.
According to reports on news portals, initial findings suggest that a police vehicle that is typically stationed outside Khan’s house, was absent during the morning of April 14, Sunday, when the two gunmen opened fire outside his residence and fled on a motorbike.
In another major revelation, Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) have also initiated inquiries into the incident that occurred outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. However, as of now, there has been no formal request to transfer the case to either agency. While 15 units of police have been deployed to track down and arrest the two assailants currently on the run, reports state that authorities in Mumbai have been reconstructing the sequence of events that played out on Sunday morning.
The two men, believed to be associated with the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, reportedly approached Galaxy Apartments from Bandra Bandstand on a bike, fired the rounds and fled the seen. They reportedly zoomed off towards Mehboob Studios, took a U-turn and subsequently headed to Mount Mary Church, where they ditched their bike and fled in an auto-rickshaw.

The police have been able to track down the individual who sold the second-hand bike to the men and are currently interrogating him to gather information.
The bike used in the attack was reportedly purchased in Raigad, after which the men travelled to Mumbai from Panvel.
One of the shooters identified as Vishal a.k.a Rahul, a resident of Gurugram, has over six criminal cases, including murder, registered against him in Haryana and Delhi.

“We have mounted technical and physical surveillance to get the clue regarding the accused,” a source in the Special Cell said.
As per sources, Vishal was recently involved in the killing of a bookie in Rohtak under the instructions of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
